About Care held its Fourth Annual Veterans’ Day Art Auction/Wine-Tasting event on Thursday, 11/13/2014

The event featured donated local art and catering and Arizona wines from AJ’s Fine Foods.  Also during the event, a high school art competition was held.  Chandler, Hamilton and Valley Christian high school students participated in the competition.

The event is to honor our clients who are Veterans or widows of Veterans and our volunteers – our Hometown Heroes!

INTEL Employees volunteer at the About Care sign- in table.

The majority of About Care’s clients are our neighbors who have served in the military or are family members of former military members.  About Care serves a generation that were our military, teachers, nurses, local store merchants – think of someone who was kind to you when you were young and now they are alone and economically disadvantaged with no one to help them.  With your help, About Care is creating a community of care!

About Care is collaborating with Neighbors Who Care and Y OPAS: Senior Community Wellness Coalition. The goal is to get discharged patients appropriate care and reduce readmissions. Learn More.
