About Care is part of the Arizona State Charitable Tax Credit for the Working Poor. This means that you will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit, up to $400 if you file a joint return or up to $200 if you file a single return, on your Arizona state income tax when you give to About Care. This means your dollars can benefit the many people About Care serves.

We receive donations from churches, community groups, individuals and grants. This tax deductible funding allows us to recruit and train our volunteers, meet our administrative expenses and bring our vital services to our clinents of Chandler and Gilbert, Arizona.

WHY SHOULD I VOLUNTEER WITH ABOUT CARE?
About Care offers volunteers with a unique, personalized experience. As a volunteer, you pick your hours, schedule and services you would like to provide.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER WITH ABOUT CARE?
Volunteers can help with a variety of activities including transportation to and from appointments or the store, friendly visits and minor home repairs, for example. For a list of all of the services our volunteers provide, visit our services page.
WHERE IS ABOUT CARE?
About Care is located at 600 West Ray Road in Chandler. However, you will only need to come into the office for your initial volunteer training session. Volunteers log hours and sign up for shifts online.

At About Care, we are looking for compassionate and caring individuals who want to make a difference in someone’s life. We know scheduling is hectic, but as little as one to four hours a month can mean so much to someone who needs that extra support. We are also aware that your schedule is constantly changing, so you are in control of your volunteer time.
You may find yourself providing service to one or two specific individuals or possibly mixing it up and helping several different people over a period of time. The choice is yours!
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER
We encourage a variety of compassinonate and caring individuals to provide support services to our clients. We accept applications from volunteers as young as high school students. A brief interview and orientation are required to become a volunteer.
To become a volunteer, an interview and orientation are required which can be scheduled at your convenience. Our regular hours of service are offered from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
